Job Position: Receptionist
Location: Ridgeland, SC 29936
Pay Rate: $16.00/hr
Shift: Mon - Fri 9am to 5pm
Description: We are currently seeking a professional and detail-oriented Human Resources Receptionist to support our client’s HR department. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team and grow your administrative and HR support skills in a fast-paced office environment.
Position Overview:
Under the supervision of the Human Resources Director, the HR Receptionist will provide front-desk coverage and administrative support to the Human Resources team. This includes assisting the Director, HR Generalist, and HR Assistant with daily operations, special projects, and general office tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate staff or department
Answer and route incoming phone calls professionally
Provide administrative and clerical support, including data entry, filing, scanning, faxing, and mail distribution
Compose and distribute routine correspondence, reports, and HR documents
Support HR-related activities such as job fairs, recruitment efforts, and company events
Alternate with the main Front Desk Receptionist as backup when needed
Assist with outgoing mail and Post Office Box drop-offs/pick-ups
Collaborate with HR team members and maintain professional relationships with staff and external contacts
Perform special projects and cross-train in other HR duties as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
1–2 years of experience in a receptionist or administrative support role (HR experience is a plus)
Basic understanding of human resources principles and office procedures
Familiarity with state and federal employment laws is helpful
Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Professional demeanor and customer service-oriented attitude
Physical Requirements:
This role involves sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting of objects. Manual dexterity required for computer and phone use.
Work Environment:
Office-based setting with regular interaction with employees, guests, and HR staff.
